Inheritance + Destiny | Installation for the opening of Tacoma Arts Month. Street map of the city suspended from balloons over topography representing the past present and future of the city. We laser cut over 100 sheets of cardboard and filled sixteen 3' balloons with 125 cu. ft. of helium. Collaboration with April Norris. Funded by the City's TAIP program and Spaceworks.
Advertisemounts | Temporary art installation along a 125 foot construction fence on 6th Ave in Tacoma. The property owners WC Studio wanted to bring beauty to the site and to the neighborhood during their construction process. We up-cycled 14 vinyl billboards, weaving over 2,000 feet of the material into the fence. Collaboration with April Norris and with help from friends. Funding from Spaceworks and the property owners.
Layers | Whole Foods Market Inc. reached out to us in October 2014 about creating a permanent installation for their new Chambers Bay location in University Place Washington.
We created an 8 x 8 foot drawing based on the topography of Mount Rainier. We had the drawing laser engraved on 1/2 inch europly. Collaboration with April Norris.
Shade Tunnel | Conceptual design for a shade structure in Phoenix. Competition, 2009.
X Cubed | This short listed proposal utilized up cycled palettes to activate a space on the ASU campus between the design and art buildings. Collaboration with Hannah Heard, Julia Beardsley, Bach Tran, Qianyi Ye, Hector Navarro, and Eduardo Robles.
